Read article

Mention the name "Israel Vibration" in a circle of friends who enjoy good traditional Jamaican reggae and you will feel some of the enormous respect achieved by this group with almost 40 years of career. Owners of an endless sequence of hits spread across a long discography of 22 albums, the most recent "Reggae Knights" having competed for a Grammy, the group continues to perform worldwide with energy worthy of teenagers.

Skelly and Wiss, group leaders, met at a rehabilitation center for children victims of polio in the mid-70s. The group's first recording took place in 1976, resulting in the album "Same Song", an essential work in the collection of any self-respecting Reggae lover. In the musicians' lineup, the "Roots Radics" includes some of the most experienced and renowned instrumentalists in Reggae history since its founding. Among the names they have worked with are Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Culture, Don Carlos and The Congos.

After Bob Marley's death in 1981, Israel Vibration maintained for a long time the status of the world's number 1 Reggae representative. Legitimate in everything they produce, Israel Vibration & Roots Radics continue to gather true crowds on any of the five continents where they perform year after year.

Owners of a contagious stage performance and an instrumental weight hardly matched by other Reggae groups, Israel Vibration continues to shape for the world and redefine the term Roots Reggae.
