The band JAH LIVE began in 1998, when young friends from Guará, an administrative region of Brasília/DF, discovered they shared the same dream. The desire to make and play true Roots Reggae across Brazil was the fuel for this traditional and innovative musical partnership. JAH LIVE preserves the characteristics of true Jamaican Roots Reggae while innovating by bringing different musical influences. The novelty in the band's performance relates not only to the musical part, but to stage dynamics, body expression elements, distinctive costumes and, of course, the messages conveyed in the lyrics.
Composed by its members, the songs leave a mark on memory, speaking of love, peace, unity, friendship, nature preservation, among other themes so necessary in current times. JAH LIVE has a trajectory marked by public acceptance, being considered the Revelation of National Reggae. Much of this success is due to successful performances at National Festivals and in almost every Brazilian state. The group is committed to transmitting to the audience all the energy and joy of this musical rhythm. For this, it counts on the striking voice of vocalist Junior Mendes who interprets the lyrics with the enthusiasm and devotion of one who sings with the soul, with the characteristic arrangements of guitarist Rodney Silveira and with the strong and vibrant sound produced by bassist Bruno Xavier.
Currently, the band also has the support of musicians Fellipe Sobral on guitar, Herik Marcos on keyboards and Marcelo Pahl on drums. In these 10 years of career, JAH LIVE continues perfecting this partnership that has worked out. Praised by the media in newspapers, radio and TV, JAH LIVE follows its path always inspired and guided by positive and true messages that express the famous Reggae of the Cerrado.
