Seven years of performances formed the structure of the JAHcareggae group, mixing Reggae Roots with Dub, New Age, Nyabinghi, Ska, Rockers, Rock Steady and Rhythm&Blues, in addition to current Dance Hall trends. Their performances seek to value creativity, quality and originality, with the use of special costumes and stage sets made by the group itself, portraying greater cultural value.

Their compositions naturally rescue the mix of Jamaican cultures with Brazilian roots, uniting reality with revolutionary-spiritual content. This pursuit resulted in various invitations for performances across Brazil, in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Santa Catarina and the Federal District and the realization of several social and environmental projects.

With a career of more than 300 shows, they participated in major festivals across Brazil, such as the 1st International Reggae Festival in Brasília, the III Vitória em Paz in the city of Vitória, both in 2001, with audiences exceeding 7,000 people, in addition to the largest open Reggae festival in Brazil - Grito de Carnaval Reggae – held in São Paulo in 2004, gathering approximately 80,000 people.

The group also has vast recording experience, as they have a studio that enabled the recording of the demo CD "Legalize a Paz" (1998), the CD "Irie Eyes" (2000 - 2,000 copies sold) with vocalist Dudu "Irie", and the CD "Rasta" (2002 - 2,800 copies sold) the group's current working material, in addition to CDs of various bands from the Federal District. In their experience they also participated in 2 Reggae compilations, "Reggae do Cerrado" (2002 - 2,000 copies) in Brasília and "Brasil Força Rasta" (2003 - 3,000 copies) in São Paulo and now move on to their definitive work, to be recorded in the city of São Paulo during the second half of 2004.

The Group stands out for vocal decentralization, surprising the audience as it is a family with three vocalists: brothers Raphael "Rastael" and Gabriel "Jahbriel" Vasconcelos and their mother Vera Nehring, alternating among themselves the lead voice and other instruments. Going through various lineups, their current phase has six more members, Brunno Silva on bass and drums, Rafael "Rod" on organs, Estevão "Steve" on lead guitar, Leandro "Cabela" on rhythm guitar, Pedro "ÁguaRAS" on percussion, Junior "Preto" on bass.

The unique reggae resulting from this fusion is the pure expression of this family group with great affinities in common, without sticking to one vocalist, they follow their own style open to artistic variations from all members.

Today in Brazil, Reggae has contributed to reducing violence and to conscious fun for young people, helping to ease difficulties generated by poverty and inequality. In the battle to rescue global harmony, they fight for a consciousness of fraternity, for the end of discrimination and social injustice, and for the preservation of nature.

With themed shows, workshops and classes, they bring reggae roots as celebration music and their philosophy with special touches of drums, opening doors for increasingly consistent social and cultural projects. The JAHcareggae family grows day by day and is certainly united as a tribe of heart, with forgiveness as the only weapon for growth and love as the solution.
