Rosco Gordon, songwriter recorded by Elvis and the Beatles, dies!

NEW YORK - Blues singer and songwriter Rosco Gordon died on the 11th at his home in Queens. The musician was 74 and was the victim of a heart attack. Rosco became known in the 50s as the author of hits such as "Booted", "No more doggin", "Do the chicken" and "Just a little bit", which sold more than 4 million copies in the voices of Etta James, Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Jerry Butler.
In the 60s, Rosco left his musical career to open a laundry with money he won in a poker game. In 69, he returned to activity launching a label. The musician performed again in 1981. According to the "New York Times", his music was partly responsible for the existence of rhythms such as reggae and ska during a Caribbean tour at the end of the 50s.
