DUB live! Susi in Dub with the band Rockers Control!

Rockers Control is the result of the union of dub DJ Yellow P with members of the reggae band Afetos, among other musicians interested in making a sound with the roots and branches of reggae and dub. Dub is a style of psychedelic instrumental reggae that emerged in Jamaica in the early 1970s from the manipulation of bases already recorded by bands, emphasizing drum and bass beats, combined with effects on voices and instruments.

This historical moment that can be called both the primordia of drum'n'bass and genuine roots reggae is distilled in the performances where Jamaican entities are evoked under the aura of smoke and Yellow P's LPs, who "drops" the bases used by the band for spontaneous creations and improvisations on a one-way live journey.

The result of this union turned the last Friday of each month at the Susi in Transe nightclub into one of the most crowded nights - and also the only one - on São Paulo's dub scene, where you can catch live sound in a prejudice-free environment. With a minimum lineup of DJ, bass, drums, guitar, percussion and vocals, and no limits for the dub Version All Stars Orchestra project, the band's performances always feature guest appearances that turn the night into a lively jam.
