Reggae as popular culture: Project fighting hunger counts on help from members of Pure Feeling!

The idea of holding the Reggae contra Fome event came from the meeting that some members of the Pure Feeling band organize every Wednesday at Território da Paz. The group formed at these meetings ended up organizing the event without financial help, with only some support: Surf Roots, Território da Paz, Free Surf, Festão. And Ipanema FM radio. The event took place on Sunday, December 9, with the participation of the bands: Pure Feeling, Influencia Negra, Soul Jah, Rastamen and Leão de Judah.
More than 2,500 people attended the Araújo Viana auditorium that day (photo), totaling more than four tons of food collected (photo). The next day we rolled up our sleeves to deliver everything, it was very rewarding to do charity (photo):
