89.5 FM debuts reggae in its programming!

Reggae fans in São Paulo will be able to quench their thirst for reggae starting next Wednesday, the 22nd. Radio 89.5 FM will launch 2 hours of reggae music in its programming. The program "Reggae Vibrations" will air every Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, hosted by music producer Klaus Porlan and journalist Laerte Brasil, editor of the MPReggae website (www.mpreggae.com.br). It will be two hours of reggae - favoring the international scene, but with space dedicated also to the best produced on Brazilian soil.

According to the creators, there is a very large exploitation of national reggae today, however, listeners are lacking musical programming focused on the great names of world reggae, the main reference for Brazilian bands. "It is necessary to get reggae fans used to listening to international reggae, as well as encourage the entry of CDs by foreign bands here in Brazil at affordable prices. This will make listeners become more demanding and expect greater musical quality from new bands. That is the proposal of the program," say the hosts.
