Stanley Beckford & Chico César!

Singer and songwriter from Catolé do Rocha (PB), Chico César opens the second night of the festival and presents basically songs from his most recent CD, Respeitem Meus Cabelos, Brancos, accompanied by his band Desordem dos Músicos, formed by: Swami Júnior, Marcelo Jeneci, Simone Julian and Guilherme Kastrup. Considered one of the best mento interpreters, Stanley Beckford represents the last authentic generation of this musical style that preceded reggae, born in Jamaica at the beginning of the 20th century. Mento is the music inherited from African ethnic groups with influences from different Caribbean rhythms. Stanley will present songs from the repertoire of his cd "Stanley Beckford Plays Mento".
