O Rappa plays shows in New York, continuing a tour that will still visit other US states!

After two performances in California, the Rio de Janeiro band O Rappa landed in New York, fulfilling part of a tour that would also pass through Boston, Miami, Atlanta and Newark. With a repertoire of five CDs, focused on lyrics that speak directly to the language of communities on the outskirts, the band passed through New York, repeating the success it achieves whether in major nightclubs or small clubs.

The show, held in the basement of the Clic nightclub in Astoria, attracted a considerable audience, made up basically of Brazilians living in New York. More than an hour late, O Rappa did not disappoint and, with the charisma of vocalist Falcão, tore through its new and old hits, such as "Vapor Barato", "Pescador de Ilusões", "O Homem Bomba", "Hey Joe", among others, and shook the audience for more than an hour and a half.

The band, which makes a powerful fusion of styles, from reggae to rock, samba and even African music with electronic touches, got everyone dancing, delivering a unique, engaging performance with good acoustics, in perfect sync with the energy of the audience present. Aside from some natural setbacks in putting on a show, nothing altered or failed to brighten the band's presentation. O Rappa put on a solid show for the occasion.
