Pequeno Terremoto brings fear back to Jamaica. See it on Surforeggae!

On January 11, 2005, fear spread across Jamaica once again. Recently Hurricane Ivan devastated the Island, and now in the same week as "Awareness for Hurricane Ivan", in tribute to the dead, a new earthquake was detected by the Earthquake and Hurricane Observation Center of the University of the West Indies.

At 5:27 in the morning, a 3.2 magnitude tremor on the Richter scale occurred in the Red Hills neighborhood, alarming experts. Although it is considered low intensity (what caused the tsunamis in Africa and Asia, for example, was magnitude 9), what is concerning is that this type of tremor sometimes precedes one of much greater scale.
