Jamaica Cultural Development Commission launches best song of 2005 competition for beginners with prize of 1 million dollars.
The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission, through various sponsors, secured the annual Best Song Contest (lyrics, singer and performance) with a prize of 1 million dollars for its winner. In addition to this amount, the lucky winner will have a confirmed presence in shows alongside great artists, such as Toots Hibbert and Marcia Griffiths. An album with 10 tracks made by Jamaica's most renowned producers will also be released. The album will feature the 10 finalist songs, which were judged by a commission of experts.
