Jamaica Hi‑Fi: Jamaican music of all styles + mixes with electronic + rasta eccentricities!

The party led by DJ Chico Dub brings two new reggae acts from Rio in November. On Thursday, the 9th, the show will be Interferência Sistema de Som, a collective that was born from a band and a radio program - Inspired by the Jamaican culture of sound systems but without imprisoning themselves in the universe of reggae, Interdência will show their Live P.A side, with DJs Bives and Nitcho on ticks, Inácio Braune and Bruno Negreiros on programming, and Renato Dub on electronic percussion. DJ Dani Roots (África XXI / Roots Combo) closes the night with their set showing the best of reggae from recent decades to what is on the international charts today. Two Thursdays later, on the 23rd, it's the Dub Wise project's turn to perform at Hi-Fi. The quartet is made up of Donatinho on programming, keyboard and vocals; Maria Joana on vocals; Alberto Continentino on bass and Felipe Pinaud on guitar and flute. Even though its main focus is on Jamaican music, Dub Wise tours through different genres of electronic music, expanding the range of BPMs according to the mood and movement of the place.
