Nação Zumbi signs with Deckdisc and gears up for the release of their 5th album!

Nação Zumbi, the biggest and most important band on the national scene and one of the most expressive and revered in the world, has just signed with Deckdisc. The long-term contract was signed last week, in São Paulo (photos attached). The band enters the studio in July to record the 5th album of their post-Chico Science career, scheduled for release in October this year. Alongside her former leader, Pernambuco's Nação Zumbi changed the direction and scenario of Brazilian rock in the 90s and achieved recognition in Brazil and abroad. Faithful to the precepts that govern the independent market, the members of the Nation share the same concept preserved by Deckdisc: conducting artistic work with freedom and feet on the ground. “It is an old dream to have Nação Zumbi in our cast, for everything she represents for us, for the other artists in our cast and for all participants in the Brazilian music market”, said João Augusto, general director of Deckdisc. Details about the album's production and recording are still being defined. Tomorrow (Saturday, 2/6), Nação Zumbi presents itself as one of the main attractions of the Porão do Rock festival, in Brasília.
