Toots & The Maytals' performance at the Virada Cultural in São Paulo is canceled! See the artist's official statement!

The Toots & The Maytals show, which would take place next Sunday, May 6th at São Paulo, was cancelled. Scheduled for 1pm on stage Julio Prestes, Toots & The Maytals was the most anticipated attraction on Virada Cultural on the stage focused on reggae and Caribbean and African rhythms.

According to Andrea Davis, the artist's manager, "Toots & The Maytals were waiting a long time to play for the fans at Brasil, Virada Cultural and Argentina, but regrettably, the tour was canceled due to circumstances beyond the control of the artist, who did not make any mistakes. Other shows will be planned at América do Sul in 2012, so keep an eye on the official website for details."

The cancellation occurred due to work visas as well as airline tickets not being properly provided in time for the artist and his team, which would cost Kingston, Ottawa (Canadá), San Francisco (EUA), Los Angeles (EUA) and Miami (EUA).

Virada Cultural's statement is being awaited regarding the presentation of other international artists, such as The Abyssinians who are also on the program.
