Son of the legendary Coxsone Dodd of Studio One loses battle against cancer!
Last Thursday, February 5th, one of the three children of the legendary founder of Studio One and one of the most emblematic figures in the history of Jamaican music, Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, passed away. Clement Dodd Jr. had been fighting cancer, and despite showing signs of improvement, he couldn't resist and lost the battle at the age of 56 in New York. He worked together with his father in the 80s and produced songs by artists from the golden age of reggae such as Junior Delgado, Prince Allah and Cornel Campbell. The legendary Coxsone Dodd (father) passed away in 2004 and now leaves two sons who care for his legacy.
