The band Nova Raiz, formed in Brasília, is taking part in the "Ostroda Reggae Contest", a contest that gives an opportunity to participate in this major festival in Poland, now in its 15th edition. Among more than 100 bands from all over the world, the group placed among the select top 10. Born from the members' need for musical and personal renewal, Nova Raiz released its first album in 2014, entitled "Desapego". In the summer of the same year it participated in the "Minho Reggae" Festival in Spain, and even recorded a live album there that is available for download on the band's fanpage (access).
