A major surprise recently delighted many admirers of Jamaican music. The confirmation of Toots & The Maytals shows in other South American countries reignited hope for a concert in Brazil. And it was confirmed.
The artist, who had not performed since 2013 due to an incident in which a young man threw a bottle that hit him in the face (see article), returned in full force and has already announced a major tour in August and September across the United States, Canada and England.

In South America, Toots already has confirmed shows in Buenos Aires and São Paulo, and more dates are being negotiated in capitals of other countries such as Peru and Chile.
Toots is one of the greatest legends of Jamaican music and one of the pioneers from ska through rocksteady to reggae. With a huge list of hits among fans, the 73-year-old artist still exudes energy in his shows today.
