The instrumental track "Sete da Manhã" by Coletivo Selectah (Salvador/BA) was selected to compete in the Rádio Educadora Music Festival, one of the most important in the state.
The radio station and the festival are largely responsible for revealing much of Bahia's independent music output and are major promoters of new talent.
The Coletivo Selectah was conceived by musicians Allex Brandão, Victor Badaró, Iuri Carvalho and Paulo Fael, bringing references from Jamaican music from the 70s to the present day.
Styles such as Rocksteady, Roots and Dancehall are part of the musical universe proposed by the collective. The project stems from the union of two generations of musicians from the Salvador reggae scene and is a result of the dimension Jamaican music has taken on in Bahia since the 80s until today.
One could say that after Samba, Reggae has become a second pillar in the structure of Bahia music, given the strong influence it exerts on local culture.

In total, 401 songs were submitted, of which only 50 were selected to be played on the station and will go through voting to reach 14 tracks that will compete for the awards of best instrumental track, best song with lyrics, best vocal performer, best instrumental performer, best arrangement for instrumental track and best arrangement for song with lyrics.
The instrumental theme by Coletivo Selectah is part of an album still without a release date, but already in the finalization process. The record contains 9 tracks in Portuguese and English and special appearances by notable Bahia singers in the reggae genre, addressing themes such as spirituality, love, positivity and social critique.
