The last February 24 was special in Brazilian Jamaica. Tribo de Jah took part in the Official Carnival Circuit of São Luís for the first time, and also with Jamaican Kenyatta Hill, vocalist of Culture.
The route was opened by Tribo de Jah, led by Fauzi and Pedro Beydoun, singing several of their hits such as “Garota Dreadlock” and “Ruínas da Babilônia”. Throughout the moment, Brazilians and Jamaicans exchanged words of affection and admiration before the audience that enjoyed it until the end of the avenue.
From atop the trio elétrico, Kenyatta sang Culture hits, including “Cumbolo”, “Behold”, “Disobedient Children” and “Two Sevens Clash”.
But the Jamaican artist's synergy with the Brazilians did not stop on the trio elétrico. Tribo de Jah and Kenyatta Hill recorded together the song “Homem da Babilônia”, composed by Fauzi Beydoun and scheduled for release in May. The song will also get a music video with images captured at different moments during the Jamaican's stay in the capital of Maranhão.
