Reggae loses another veteran: farewell to musician Jawge Hughes!

Global reggae is in mourning once again, this time for the farewell of Jawge Hughes, the keyboardist from the Virgin Islands. He played with many legends of the rhythm, among them Joe Higgs (considered one of the fathers of reggae and Bob Marley's singing teacher), Bunny Wailer, Judy Mowatt, The Mighty Diamonds, Leroy Sibbles, Stranger Cole, Freddie McGregor, The Itals, Pato Banton, Dennis Brown, The Wailing Souls, The Wailers Band, and more recently with the Fully Fullwood Band. Jawge not only played, but was also an arranger and music producer, and even received a Grammy nomination for the album “Yin Yang”, by Anna Fisher. Rest in peace.
