Straight from Ipiranga - SP, Robinson Rocha de Souza, better known as Arcanjo Ras, began his work in music around 1997. He started as a DJ and soon discovered his vocal talent; he was part of several vocal groups in greater São Paulo. The singer was formerly a member of the Coral Erudito de São Paulo and Coralusp (USP Choir). Currently he studies Lyrical Singing with the renowned baritone Eduardo Paniza and is also part of the Hospital Sírio Libanês Choir.
More musically mature, he developed a distinctive and personal style and meter, delving into Reggae, more specifically Dancehall/Ragga, using the rhythm as the foundation of his work. The singer's influence lies in music and its many forms — Rap, Opera, Electronic and more — music and all its styles. His versatility allows Arcanjo Ras to develop and strongly mark his vocals in any rhythm or style, besides having performed at major venues, on some television programs and in other cities.
Arcanjo Ras's first releases were Respeito & Amor Sempre, K-Rootz/2007, Mixturagga, Indie/2008 and the recent InterRAScional, Indie/2014. Arcanjo Ras is today one of the strongest names in Dancehall/Ragga in Brazil.
