Born in Jamaica, Carl "Ramesses" Mcdonald has his musical skills coming from "the golden times" of reggae, or as Jamaicans themselves would say "The Early Age". He was a member of his Church Choir and represented his College on several occasions in various music competitions and concerts. In 1966 Carl moved to London where he enrolled at "Belle School" of Music and "Linton School", specialized in training great composers and arrangers.
In the early 70s, he moved this time to the United States, where he continued to develop his creativity and talent, skills that have always been latent in his career. His songs always express positivity, consciousness and spirituality, the true values of roots reggae.
