Jamar Rolando McNaughton Jr, better known as Chronixx, was born in 1992 and is one of the most talented young artists of the new generation of Jamaican reggae. The stage name Chronixx was derived from his father's nickname, the Jamaican singer "Chronicle." He is one of the "heads" of the Jamaican "Reggae Revival," which is a return to the roots as they themselves say, including other artists like Jah9, Protoje, Jesse Royal, and Kabaka Pyramid.

In his lyrics, Chronixx addresses political and awareness themes, but also everyday situations and romantic songs. He wrote his first song at the age of 5, as he was always quite exposed to it because of his family. Chronixx began his career at the age of 11 recording gospel music and has been a backing vocalist for artists like Lutan Fyah. The explosion in his career began in 2012 and truly took off in 2014. During that year, he performed at very important shows in the USA and Europe and made appearances in prime time on American television.

Winner of several awards in his recent career, Chronixx is also a music producer, and among the names he has guided are Jah Cure, Protoje, Kabaka Pyramid, Mabado, and Nomaddz.
