Journey

After the release of the band "Kiwi" Salmonella Dub, Tronador bets once again on the talents of Aotearoa and roots reggae. CORNERSTONE ROOTS can be considered one of the musical powerhouses emerging from the small island of Aotearoa. What started as just a trio grew and became a super band, which besides drawing inspiration from Jamaican reggae roots, incorporated Pacific "vibes", making an organic sound mixed with 70s culture. After recent tours in Australia and Japan, accompanying big names like Salmonella Dub, Burning Spear, Toots & The Maytals, CORNERSTONE ROOTS moves forward, bringing its groove-filled reggae to the whole world.

Cornerstone Roots is another great novelty from New Zealand. Like their compatriots from Salmonella Dub, they rock! The difference is that, instead of using electronic music elements, they use the good old formula of Jamaican reggae. The result of all this is "Soul Revolution", an amazing album! "Lovers", the first track on the album, is romantic reggae in the best Jacob Miller style. Then come the heavy tracks "One Fine Day", "Visions", "Panic" and "Reveal Yourself". Also worth highlighting is "Soundsplash", an instrumental track worthy of a surf movie soundtrack, and "Light", a breathtaking "roots" ballad. Awesome!
