Cultivo formed in late 2003 and relocated from São Paulo to Florianópolis, drawn by the island’s welcoming audience and natural setting. The band mixes reggae with MPB influences from its members to craft warm, danceable harmonies that convey messages of love, energy and consciousness. Cultivo released three independent albums—Árvore Urbana, Orgânico and Um Pouco de Cada—and has performed widely across São Paulo and Florianópolis.
Their music aims to cultivate pleasant emotions and a sense of wellbeing through melodic, groove-driven songs.
