DUCASCO is a reggae band formed in 2001 on the Santos coast and began playing its own songs, as well as reggae and Brazilian music classics. It took part in Circuito Reggae, promoting its work on compilations, radio and festivals across the country. In 2014 it released the live DVD DUCASCO Ao Vivo, creating the concept "HipRootsReggaeRaggaDub" where it united reggae strands with its own sound.
The name Ducasco refers to the peak where friends, surfers and musicians gathered on the beach to exchange ideas and play guitar around the bonfire. From the musicians' rapport came invitations to play at bars and nightclubs in the region. In 2003 it recorded its first DEMO "Só Pra Meditar". The song "Despedida" reached the compilation "Circuito Reggae 6" and it recorded its first album "Nova Nau" released in 2005 by the "K-Roots" label. With "Quem Vai Querer" on the compilation "Circuito Reggae 7" the song was aired on radios across the country, besides being part of the DVD "Circuito Reggae Volume 10".
In 2007 it released the EP "Basta Semear", with the title track still aired on various radios today. In 2011, the band released the singles "Ilusões" and "Até Aonde Vai", beginning the "HipRootsReggaeRaggaDub" concept finalized with the recording of the DVD "Ducasco Ao Vivo" released in 2014. During this period it played at festivals sharing the stage with major reggae names such as SOJA, Groundation, Alpha Blondy, Israel Vibration, Tribo de Jah, Cidade Negra among others. It was also on the cover of the 6th edition of the magazine "Reggae Brasil".
