Grãos formed in early 2010 with the goal of crafting music with a distinct personality. The five musicians—many with histories in Tribo d’Abrãao and other collaborations—combine pop-inflected organ and synth textures, driving bass and inventive drumming with melody-led vocals. Grãos represents a new phase for these artists, bringing together years of experience in recording and live performance to launch an original project.
Their sound balances technical skill and accessible songwriting.
