Born in São Paulo, Jimmy Luv is one of the pioneers of vocal ragga style made in Brazil. With influences from Jamaican, Brazilian, American and English music, from the start he developed his own style of writing lyrics in Portuguese and singing over beats ranging from the most varied branches of reggae to the most diverse branches of bass music.
It was in the 90s that he began writing and producing his first songs. At that time he lived in Rio de Janeiro and was part of the band The Funk Fuckers. In 2001 he returned to São Paulo, where he formed Enganjaduz and the collective Família 7 Velas. He was also MC at Dirty Kidz Gang parties from 2012-2015.

In 2007 he was one of 5 nominees for Revelation Producer at the Hutúz Award and in 2009 one of 5 nominees at MTV's VMB in the Reggae category. He has performed in every region of Brazil at various festivals, venues and events such as Circuito Reggae, Grito Cultural Reggae, Virada Cultural, Universo Parallelo, Festival Respect. He also played shows in Buenos Aires (2007 and 2008). On television he appeared on some programs on the former MTV and in 2015 on the program "Manos e Minas".

He has released solo work, appeared on compilations, mixtapes, projects, remixes and guest appearances. Over the years he has recorded dubplates for soundsystems, songs on riddims and beats by various producers such as Dubalizer, Mauro Telefunksoul, Fredi Chernobyl, BRAAP, Stone Roots, Unidade76, Neguse Anbesa, Amanajé Sound System, JFX, Blanka Krew, Dubdubom, Digitaldubs, Echo Sound System.

Jimmy Luv performs with a DJ, a backing band, with other projects or as a guest. His performance is an explosion of energy through his charisma and interaction with the audience, always stirring up the crowd with his powerful voice and great creativity in original songs and covers of other artists.
