Julian Marley has always been surrounded by music throughout his life. Born in London in 1975, he was blessed with the talent and legacy of his parents. Julian recorded his first song at the age of 5, at the Marley family home in Kingston and kept improving his skills as a singer and instrumentalist. In 1989 he released his first album called "Uprising", the same name as his band at the time. Julian moved to Jamaica in 1992 where he began working with veterans such as Aston "Family Man" Barret, Earl "Wire" Lindo, Tyrone Downie and Earl "Chinna" Smith.

On the album Lion in the Morning, it is possible to see that Julian quickly reached his musical peak. With conscious lyrics and sophisticated arrangements, this was the artist's most widely disseminated work around the world, having won several awards. Julian Marley can be considered (despite his age) a veteran. He has performed at major festivals around the world, such as Jamaica Sumfest and Reggae Sunsplash, and has also toured Japan, Brazil and Mexico. Together with his brother Damian Marley, he also made a very important appearance on "Marley Magic", a tribute to Bob Marley produced by the family of the King of Reggae.
