Born and raised in Vila Guilherme on the outskirts of the North Zone of São Paulo Junior Dread represents the new generation of reggae music. In more than 10 years of career, he has released an album with the band Reggae Style and singles and dubplates released in Europe and the USA. He has performed all over Brazil with the main names on the national and international reggae scene.
With songs recorded in Portuguese and English, he has increasingly stood out and crossed borders, performing in several countries such as Japan 2008, Germany 2010, Australia, New Zealand, London, Spain, Portugal and the Czech Republic in 2011, always breaking barriers and strengthening Brazil's name on the global reggae scene. Still in 2011, he released the song and video clip "Não fail de lute" featuring Gustavo "Black Alien" and produced by the duo Stereodubs.
In 2013, Junior Dread participated in the album by "Gorgon Sounds" from England with the song "Rise", on side A of the EP on 12" vinyl released by the "Peng Sound" label and distributed throughout the world. With the promotional CD "IWA", he has been promoting his music in the 4 corners of Brazil and the world, with several performances throughout the national and international territory. In partnership with the American brand HRB Movement, he is recording a Mixtape produced by the Jamaican DJ YAADCORE, one of the members of the "Reggae Revival" movement that has been taking over the scene and revealing several new artists around the world.
