Kayman emerged in Salvador in 2004 with a message of love, peace and social and environmental commitment. The four-piece band blends roots reggae with Dancehall, Dub, Reggaeton, jazz and Brazilian music to create a distinctive, energetic sound. Their lyrics reflect political and ecological engagement while aspiring to spiritual uplift, and they have shared stages with Groundation, The Original Wailers, Gregory Isaacs and SOJA.
Singles such as ÊA and Filhos de JAH capture the band’s balanced mix of melody and conviction.
