Mikayla Simpson, known as Koffee, was born in Jamaica in 2000 and released her first single "Burning" in 2017. She quickly earned both popular and critical acclaim and won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album with the EP Rapture (2019). In 2019 she also signed with Columbia Records, establishing her as a major voice in contemporary reggae.
Koffee’s blend of youthful energy and musical maturity has made her one of the most notable emerging talents from Jamaica.
