Roots Meeting

31 · 2007 · -

Reggae activists for more than 30 years, No More Babylon is among the most technical and experienced French bands of the rhythm. The group has shared the stage with names such as Alpha Blondy, Yellowman, Ijahman Levy, Mystic Revelation of Rastafari, Toots and The Maytals, U-Roy and Misty in Roots. After the release of the albums "Stand the Pressure" in 1999 and "Vampayah" in 2003, the band was blessed and acclaimed for its skill, having been chosen by artists such as U-Brown, Rod Taylor, Tyrone Downie (Bob Marley's keyboardist), Ken Boothe and Earl 16 to be their backing band.

The most recent chapter in the band's history came with the third album "Roots Meeting" from 2007. The album features more than special guest appearances by Earl 16, U-Brown, Ken Boothe, Stepper (saxophonist) and Didier Bolay (trombone). "Roots Meeting" reached second place in sales at the planet's largest reggae record store — Ernie B. Without a doubt No More Babylon is a band that deserves to be heard. One of the great promises to carry original Reggae forward.
