PHILHARMONIC WEED formed in 1998, and from early on created a new cultural movement in Lisbon. Since that year, they have embarked on a career in which they established themselves as a new great certainty of Portuguese music. Fundamental in this journey have been the true mixture of values, musical and artistic colors that combines soul and strength, characteristics that make them a unique group, always in search of new rhythms.
With childhoods spent in Mozambique, Cape Verde, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Portugal, this group of six musicians presents itself in a show of great quality and musical coherence that is already a huge success with the public.
At the end of 2005 they entered the studio to record their second album, with 13 unreleased songs, and appearances by important and well-known Portuguese musicians. The new record work is expected for April 2006. The Weeds hit the road to carry their musical and rhythmic message and spread their work and attitude.
