Queen Omega was born in San Fernando, Trinidad. Supported by her mother (to whom she pays tribute with the song "Mama"), she began her career at local talent shows at the age of 9, writing her own songs in the Caribbean calypso rhythm and rapping on TV. Later she did backing vocals for local producer Kenny Philips, accompanying the biggest names in Soca (Caribbean rhythm) both in the studio and on stage. Growing up in a musical family, Queen Omega was influenced early on by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker and Whitney Houstoun, as well as traditional jazz musicians and local rhythms from Trinidad. These influences would serve her later; however, her favorites have always been reggae and dancehall.

Inspired by the teachings of Emperor Haile Selassie I, her ability to write lyrics with themes that speak of reality and the roots of music grew ever deeper. Her first album "Queen Omega" was the result of a trip she made to Jamaica in the year 2000, where she met producer Mickey D. Soon after, several successful singles were released, followed by the second album "Pure Love". Queen Omega has toured Europe and the United States and is working on her newest record, "Love your Color" with musician/musical director Lockley Dixon.
