From the slums of Vila Guilherme in São Paulo, Reggae Style emerged on the national scene, a band formed in 1998 with the intention of rescuing roots reggae. Carlos Dread, Rafael Stheve, Julio J-Bay, Raphael Souza, Beto Stheve, Júnior Black Style and Douglas Earl play roots reggae, raising Rastafari teachings.

Influenced by reggae music classics such as Ras Michel, Burning Spear, Black Uhuru, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Bob Marley and Sly & Robbie, these reggae boys have been winning over the public at the countless shows they have been performing across Brazil. São Paulo, Curitiba, Santa Catarina and Espírito Santo are some of the states where Reggae Style has been performing, passing on a positive message and entertaining the "reggeiros", an audience that is growing every day. At major venues such as Via Funchal, Cabral, KVA among others, the band has shared the stage at festivals with various reggae personalities such as Tribo de Jah, Edson Gomes, Sine Calmon, Natiroots and Spy vs Spy.

Reggae Style recorded a single with three songs and is now working on their first album entitled "Em meio ao caos", which brings 11 original compositions addressing themes of awareness of justice and social equality, preservation of nature and tributes to Selassie and Nelson Mandela. The band also participated in the compilation of the Associação Cultural do Reggae for the Paradox label, with the song "Haile" and in the Rádio Imprensa University Circuit compilation with the songs "Hospedado, Justiça e Consciência". Through their songs, Reggae Style brings true roots reggae and spreads the Irie feeling, the feeling of love and peace, enchanting the audience at every performance.

"Only united will we have peace. Only love can save us"
(excerpt from the song Corra Atrás)
