Cyrenius Green, or Siddy Ranks as he is known in the artistic world, was born in St. Catherines, Jamaica. At ten years old, still very young, he began attending the Baptist Church in the village of Berry Hill, where he acquired inspiration to sing, forever changing the course of his life. At 20 he was already visiting Jamaica's studios and traveling with various Sound Systems. In 1983, he recorded his first song for the famous producer Harry J, but did not achieve much success.
Despite all the difficulties, the singer continued his career in Jamaica until 1988, when he went to England. The following year - 1989, Siddy Ranks returned to the Island and in 1992 went to Europe again, where he formed the band "Fire Corner", becoming quite recognized. In 1994, the band ended and he decided to pursue a solo career, already having a very busy show schedule. In 1999 his first solo album finally came out, called "Cheer Up", which was a huge success in Brazil, especially in Bahia and Maranhão, where the artist has a true legion of fans.
In the year 2000, with his career already quite recognized, the second album came out - "True Love", followed by "Never Let me Down", from 2001 and "You Can Do It", his newest release. Siddy Ranks has already done several tours accompanying other famous artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Owen Grey, Eric Donaldson and J.C Lodge. In Brazil the artist has already performed in various cities, such as Maranhão, Salvador, Camaçari and Feira de Santana, always being very well received by the public.
