Terra Prometida began in 2001 as Rastafire and moved toward original material with a name change in 2006. The band developed a collective musical approach with rotating vocal duties that diversify the sound and surprise listeners. Their blend of reggae with Brazilian roots reflects a search for universal communication, and they perform in both English and Portuguese while addressing themes of transformation and reflection.
Terra Prometida has shared the stage with international and national acts and participates in social inclusion projects alongside cultural institutions.
