Toots and The Maytals are a Jamaican group, originally called The Cherry Pies and later The Maytals. It is one of the best-known Skinhead reggae, Rocksteady and ska bands. Their sound is an original combination of gospel, ska, Rocksteady, soul, reggae and rock.

Toots and the Maytals' greatest classic is the Rocksteady song "54-46 Was My Number", which served as the soundtrack for the skinhead film This Is England, by filmmaker Shane Meadows. His song "Funky Kingston" was the opening theme for the program Miami Ink, shown in the United States on TLC and, in Brazil, on the former People and Arts.
