Trilhas & Raízes formed in São José dos Campos, SP in 2000; the current line‑up was established in 2002 and the band has steadily consolidated its identity with original compositions and reggae classics. Their first CD "Bem Aventurados" (2004) yielded tracks such as "Siga seu Caminho", "De frente pro mar" and "Sob o Céu", which received airplay across Vale do Paraíba, the northern coast and São Paulo.\r\r\nThe clip for "Sob o Céu" aired on MTV and the song featured on the soundtrack of the Brazilian film "A Casa de Alice" (2007). The band contributed to compilations and radio collections and toured regionally and nationally, reaching festivals such as Ruflles Reggae, Unifest and Virada Cultural Paulista, drawing crowds up to 20,000.\r\r\nBy 2014 the band was preparing a new album and continuing the “FEITO PARA VENCER” tour featuring songs from "Bem Aventurados" and "Seguindo as Estrelas."
