Marley's legacy!

Marley's legacy!

With the arrival of the year 2000, several media outlets published their assessments of the century just past. Two of the greatest exponents of the American press highlighted Bob Marley in their retrospectives. Time Magazine chose 'Exodus' as the album of the century. The New York Times included the compilation 'Legend' on its list of the 25 albums "that represented turning points, the highest points of popular music in this century".

Among the artists included on the list were Caruso, Louis Armstrong, Robert Johnson, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Elvis Presley, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. About Bob Marley, it was written that "He may have been the most influential musician of the second half of this century worldwide. With prophetic fervor, Marley's moving tenor brought the hope and redemption of the third world to the first."
