45 years without Bob Marley: the eternal legacy of the King of Reggae on National Reggae Day
Forty-five years ago, the world said goodbye to Bob Marley, but his music remains more alive than ever. And there could be no more symbolic date for this remembrance: in Brazil, today also marks National Reggae Day, a culture Marley helped spread and immortalize around the world. Marley always transmitted his energy through dance and carried his message to the planet through music. To the sound of I Shot the Sheriff, a track from the album Burnin' released in 1973, we remember one of the most important songs in reggae history. Re-recorded by Eric Clapton, the track became Bob Marley's first major global hit, helping introduce Jamaican reggae to the world. Forty-five years later, the legacy remains eternal. Marley lives forever!
