Rare Bob Marley cassette from age 23 goes to auction at Christie’s!

Rare Bob Marley cassette from age 23 goes to auction at Christie’s!
A rare Bob Marley tape was put up for auction this Friday at Christie's, and the house's staff expect to earn between 10 and 15 thousand dollars from the sale of the cassette. These recordings took place when Marley was 23 years old and was just getting started in rhythm and blues. He had sought out producer Jimmy Norman and recorded 24 minutes of music on a tape that soon disappeared. The tape was lost for 34 years, and was found when a janitor was cleaning Norman's apartment. The material is considered rare because it documents a period of Marley's maturation, and above all, because it captures the quality of the man's voice, despite having been recorded on a home device. This rarity consists of eight songs, five of them written by the Jamaican singer, who already showed great talent, even at the beginning of his career.
