Luciana Simões, from Mystical Roots, will sing for Natiruts! Check it out!

Vocalist Luciana Simões of Mystical Roots will sing with the band Natiruts for a few months, due to the temporary absence of vocalist Izabella Rocha, who is pregnant. Only two months remain until the birth of her first child, and the group was already looking for someone to replace her. According to Luciana, Natiruts composer and vocalist Alexandre Carlo, bassist Luís Maurício and percussionist Bruno Dourado attended a Mystical Roots show and really liked the band's work. Later Izabella and the other band members listened to Mystical's album and loved it.

The Natiruts producer met Luciana at Susi in Dub (a weekly dub night that takes place in downtown São Paulo) and made the proposal. After some conversation Luciana accepted, met Izabella, who, the Maranhão vocalist says, was already welcoming her into the band.

Luciana already had stage experience with them, singing Bob Marley during the encore of a recent show, and pleased everyone. They have even rehearsed a song for Luciana to shine on, "No, No, No" by Dawn Penn. She also clarified that Mystical will not stop and that it will be possible to reconcile the show dates of both bands. For her it will be a fruitful exchange for both, as Luciana will bring a more "psychedelic" tone to Natiruts, now that this band is also experimenting with Dub, something Mystical did brilliantly on the CD "Pras bandas de lá".

For the Mystical vocalist it will be important to reach the Natiruts audience and promote the work of her original band. Luciana also said that Mystical's next album is already being developed, with several songs already composed. Izabella's last show before taking time off from Natiruts should be at the Ceará Music festival, on October 12. From then on, Luciana would take over the backing vocals. Let's follow this change that will surely bring interesting surprises.
