Kenneth Lloyd Khouri dies, one of the most important pioneers of the Jamaican music industry!

Kenneth Lloyd
One of the most important pioneers of the Jamaican Music industry passed away on September 20, 2003. His entrepreneurial spirit gave rise to the recording and record production industry in Kingston. Khouri started with a second-hand recording machine bought in Miami. Later he founded Federal Records, which was sold to the then not yet so famous Bob Marley, who later transformed it into the "Tuff Gong International" label. In 2001 he was one of the 25 people awarded by the Caribbean Arts and Culture Development Center. He also recently received a medal for his contribution to music, but unfortunately passed away before he could receive it. Ken Khouri was 86 years old.
