Hoax debunked that spread worldwide and alarmed fans of Burning Spear and reggae! Read more!

This week the rumor that frightened and dismayed reggae fans around the world was denied. A few months ago, news emerged that the great idol Burning Spear would be retiring from his musical career. The singer, who is 56 years old and was recently nominated for the Grammy for Best Reggae Album with his latest masterpiece entitled "Free Man", remains firm and strong and, according to his advisor Russell Gerlach, is about to embark on another world tour to promote the new album.

Spear, whose real name is Winston Rodney, is known for hits such as Marcus Garvey, Columbus, Postman, The Youth, among others, and is one of the most important survivors of the "golden age" of Jamaican music, as well as one of those responsible for its consolidation and dissemination throughout the world.
