Burning Spear honored with Lifetime Achievement award for 57-year career

Legendary Burning Spear received on Sunday night (05/17) the Lifetime Achievement award and the title of Master of Reggae and World Music Culture, in recognition of his extraordinary 57 years of contribution to reggae and to the expansion of consciousness through music. A journey marked by spirituality, resistance and legacy. The Jamaican artist, known for classics such as "Marcus Garvey" and "Slavery Days", remains one of the genre's most respected voices worldwide. The celebration also honored names such as Gramps Morgan and Etana, who have already performed in Brazil on recent tours, as well as other artists who helped spread Jamaican culture around the planet.
