Reggae double bill at Expresso Brasil with two of the country's leading reggae bands, Ponto de Equilíbrio and Natiruts. Friday the 10th was already set for a good crowd, since Ponto was launching its new album, "Reggae a vida com amor".
Shortly after midnight, Natiruts took the Expresso stage. With many people backstage and some rather brusque members of the band's production team, our work was somewhat hindered. The show mixed new songs, very well received, and of course the great established classics. Much commotion backstage and little organization again made it harder to complete our coverage.
After an interval of approximately an hour and a half, the long-awaited show by the 2004 breakthrough band of the year, Ponto de Equilíbrio, began. Proving that organization is essential in any job, we had no obstacles to completing our coverage. The opening song is exactly the one that titles their new album, "Reggae a vida com amor". Despite the hour, the crowd stayed to enjoy the performance to the end. Like Natiruts, the Rio band quickly landed several hits, making Expresso sing all their successes in one voice. "Rastafará" and "Aonde vai chegar" were met with exceptional reception.
