Casarão Santa Luzia prepares major shows for March!

After a few weeks without night events, Casarão Santa Luzia resumes its artistic programming with full force, bringing a strong musical program. DJ Negralha (O Rappa), B Negão (Planet Hemp), Diamba and the Promotional Release Tour Party for the CD “Push The Button”, by The Chemical Brothers, with DJ José Roberto Mahr (RJ), are some of the attractions that will heat up the Bahian nights, starting on Thursday, March 3rd, in Comércio's newest artistic and cultural intervention space. To start the series of events in the first week of March in style, Casarão promotes, on Thursday (3), a Black Music, Hip-Hop, Samba Rock and Funk Party, featuring DJ Negralha, from the band O Rappa, as the main attraction. During the night, the public also participates in the draw for a CD from Eletrosamba, DJ Negralha's band that mixes Drum'n'Bass, Hip-Hop and Samba Rock. Next, on Friday, it's Diamba's turn to lead Jamaican Night, which will feature special guests, DJs and screenings of surfing clips and Rastafari culture. There will also be a raffle for Diamba's new CD, “Tempo de Épocas”, and the book “Queimando Tudo – Biografia de Bob Marley”. On Saturday, the 5th, the long-awaited Promotional Launch Tour Party for the CD “Push The Button” by The Chemical Brothers will take place, with DJ José Roberto Mahr (RJ), Nikima and his Media Board and DJs from Pragatecno (DJ Adriana Prates, DJ Mopa, DJ Mauro Telefunksoul, DJ Gabão, DJ André Urso and DJ Angelis Sanctus). The night will also feature a screening of clips and images from the Chemical Brothers, as well as a raffle for shirts and the English duo's new CD. To close the week's schedule, Bahians can check out, on Sunday, the 6th, a super show with B Negão (Planet Hemp) and DJ Castro (RJ), from Coletivo Quinto Andar, considered the biggest underground Hip-Hip in Brazil. The repertoire includes songs from B Negão's independent CD, “Enxugando Gelo”, and lots of new features, such as unreleased tracks from the CD “Piratão”, by Quinto Andar, which will be released on the 7th by Outracoisa magazine, by musician Lobão. DJ Bandido, Quilombo Vivo + Duelo de MC’s and Eletropercussiva also participate in the event. Installed in an old warehouse, in Comércio, Casarão Santa Luzia has three different environments (Salão Jequitaia, Salão Santa Luzia and Salão de Ocios e Ofícios), with capacity to house more than 1,200 people. The conceptual decoration, inspired by street demonstrations, creates an original atmosphere in the place, which has already won over Brazilian intellectuals and artists, such as David Moraes, who intends to perform in the space soon, and Marcelo Yuka, who is part of the Casarão curator, together with Arto Lindsay and José Aararipe Jr.
