Reggae in Spanish: Surforeggae in Buenos Aires to check out the Argentine reggae of Dread Mar I!

On November 3 in Buenos Aires, in the famous San Telmo neighborhood, Surforeggae was at the show for “Jah Guia”, the first CD by Dread Mar I. As expected, a large number of reggae fans followed this new project, since the artist is new but already known. Since 1996, Mariano was the voice of Mensajeros, and now he is in a new phase.
With a classic roots reggae sound and a little dancehall, Mariano continues prophesying his Rastafari philosophy and singing about love, as in “Provérbios”, which says – “Oh Jah enséñanos a amar”. The show included the presence of Guillermo Bonetto (vocalist of one of Argentina's best-known reggae bands, “Los Cafres”), who was introduced by Dread Mar as: "my maestro of reggae in Spanish". Reaching the end of the repertoire, with a clearly satisfied audience, one song was sung summarizing what that night would be for Dread Mar I: “Um sueño”.
